I want this...

I want this house. OMG how beautiful. Although, i don't like cold climates and that house seems to be somewhere where it is cold. But, it sure is a beauty, isn't it! I prefer nice warm climates. So I'll take that house and move to huh.... one of the Virgin Islands maybe or right here where i am already - - Southern California.
Vacation

Just as the title says- This is almost to beautiful to look at. I don't know about all of you but sometimes when i look at a photo as beautiful as this i can almost feel the endorphines being released. Same as when you see something incrediably adorable, or an amazing view from a window... you know what i mean. There is some sort of chemical reaction/release that makes us feel as if we are stunned or emotionally dazed or startled (Startled in the good sense). I could probably describe that better, but oh well.
Anyway... this photo is so beautiful, isn't it? There was no info with the photo that i could tell but i am guessing this wonderful little city above the see is in the Greek Isles. What do you think?
Update:... ok yea, i just realised i typed see instead of sea (see red). I just happen to notice when i was rereading this a few hours later. My hands don't always type what my brain is telling it to. I do this all the time with my typing which is why i have to be vigilant with proof reading and spell checking, specially now that i am a blogger.
To see this photo extremely large and with all it's galore.. go here:

42nd Street

This is one beautiful shot. The info with the photo says: "An early evening look east along 42Nd street from 8Th Avenue... you get a peek of the Chrysler Building way down the canyon (left center).
It's been a dream of mine to visit New York since i was about 11 year old... maybe even younger. I've always had a fascination with NYC. I did get to visit NY when i was about 16 but we we're just passing threw. My mom and i packed up the car and drove from Van Nuys, Ca (Los Angeles) up threw NYC and up into Maine and than into Canada and than drove back. This adventure took us two weeks. We only spent about 12 hours in NYC. We we're supposed to meet up with a friend of my moms somewhere in Queens, or Brooklyn, i can't remember now... but we got lost and pulled into a Mac Donald's Parking lot and spent the night.... yes, in the car but we had our huge dog Gypsy with us, he woulda' killed anyone who tried to get into the car.
In the morning i got to see the World Trade Center, it was like 4 am in the morning, there was light so i got to see it but only looking up at it. I took some pics, I'll have to post them someday... if i can find them. And really the only other things i got to see were the Statue of Liberty from very far away and some tunnel that went under water and for the life of me i can't remember the name of the tunnel. I have a pic of the entrance of this tunnel but i don't know where that pic is right now. What are some names of some tunnels that go under the water... Tunnels, meaning... you can drive along under the water? Anyone know the names of these tunnels, if so leave me a comment because I'd like to remember which tunnel it was i went under.
And i of course got to see various smaller cities as we drove threw NYC. I remember feeling so disappointed because i wanted to see more but the New York traffic was disturbing my moms nerves and she wanted to get the hell out of there lol. And i never got to go back. That was 20 years ago. I'm 36 now. Some day I'll make it back. This is still a dream of mine... to go to NYC and spend like 2 weeks there.
Anyway... blah blah, I'm rambling... i really just wanted to share this amazing photo with you all lol.

Posted On at at 11:20 AM by RebeccaGas stations sometimes have those big red buttons and if you push them they set off the fire extinguishers. They are to only be used in an emergency. Well... i guess this guy let his curiosity get the best of him. Bad, Bad Boy!
I really had no idea what those buttons were for... i do now lol.
Sorry for pop ups- Trying to fix
Posted On at at 11:15 AM by RebeccaI apologize for the pop ups that show up when you view this page. They are coming from one of the Widgets i installed on my page. I am trying to figure out which Widget it was. I think it was the Mini-Blogs i put on my page so i took that one off to see if it helps.
I have a pop up blocker on my Fierfox browser so i can't see the pop ups when i view my blogs when not in edit mode. But someone told me one of the pop ups as VERY ADULT, i am soooooooo sorry about that. Please know i didn't put that add on myself, it came with one of the Widgets on the side bar.
I am trying to fix all this so bare with me please. Don't it discourage you from viewing my blog.
Thank you

Software that detects your cat walking across keyboard
Posted On Sunday, March 23, 2008 at at 7:36 PM by Rebecca
Yes this is real software!
Chris Niswander (Tucson, Arizona) invented PawSense. When cats walk or climb on your keyboard, they can enter random commands and data, damage your files, and even crash your computer. This can happen whether you are near the computer or have suddenly been called away from it. PawSense is a software utility that helps protect your computer from cats. It quickly detects and blocks cat typing, and also helps train your cat to stay off the computer keyboard.
I could definitely use this but not so much for my cat but for my pet rats. They are constantly walking across my keyboard and they've messed things up a few times.
Very strange and simple tombstone.

Posted On at at 1:17 PM by RebeccaI am currently testing different templates for this blog so you'll see it change over the next few days. I'm so picky with templates and i have to give them a run before i decide.
Strange thing is, when i uploaded this template my Widgets got deleted, arghhhhhhh.

Than and Now

I remember when i was a teenager and this Nat Geo edition came out... i remember being mystified.. than a few years ago the original photographer went back to find her to do an update photo.
Wow... You can see hardship in her eyes, struggles... but also wisdom. I wonder what goes on in her mind... I wonder what she is doing as i type this. Probably caring for her family, doing her domestic chores, cooking for her family and just trying to survive.
What a beautiful and courageous woman. I can't even begin to imagine the hardship in her life and never will.
